Inscribed with п. Палех (p. Palekh), denoting the famous Palekh lacquer miniature village in Russia, along with inventory number 8261. Signed by artist Bakanov B. (Баканов Б.) and dated 1969 (1969 г.).
Craftsmanship: Made of papier-mâché, coated in black lacquer on the outside, and finished with a traditional bright red lacquer interior.
